Abstract

Objectives: The aim of this project was to develop an instructional video that supports the learning of adhesive cementation. The integration of indirect, tooth-colored restorations was demonstrated using the example of a lithium disilicate ceramic crown. After watching the video, the learner should be familiar with the steps of the adhesive workflow.

Methods: A script for the instructional video was created by two dentists. Based on this script, the video was produced by the Department of Audiovisual Media at UKR, featuring one of the two dentists and a doctoral candidate. To enhance the presentation of essential aspects of the examination, various camera angles, image enlargements, and the inclusion of time and material information were used. The video was not narrated to allow for international, language-independent use.

Results: The final video has a total duration of 5:54 minutes.

Conclusion: The instructional video presents the optimized procedure for the adhesive cementation of an indirect, tooth-colored restoration using the example of a lithium disilicate ceramic crown.
