Description The dataset was constructed for near universal single copy genes from all 36 cyanobacterial genomes found in version 5 the HOGENOM database. For each family sequences were aligned using MUSCLE with default parameters. The multiple alignment was subsequently cleaned using GBLOCKS as described in the Appendix.

Description For each of the 473 families we inferred a gene topology G that maximizes the joint likelihood given by the product of the likelihood of observing the unrooted gene tree topology G according to the exODT model developed in the manuscript and the classic Felsenstein likelihood of the alignment. All trees are in Newick format.
