These data are compiled from the literature, with sources given in the file. The algae growth rate data are from Tang 1995 (see text for full reference) and for algae density from DeLong and Vasseur 2012 J. Animal Ecology. Mortality rate data are also compiled from the literature, with sources indicated in the file as well as method of calculation.
