Description Data from an experiment examining the effects of food, temperature, and population density on fitness of red flour beetles. The number of eggs laid were counted after the beetles were in wheat flour for four days. Eggs were then placed back in flour and allowed to develop. The time for eggs to develop into adults was measured, and the number of eggs that emerged as adults were counted.
