Description This data set contains information on chemical composition of soils and woody plant biomass from the Guadiamar River Valley (SW Spain). The data set corresponds to a series of environmental surveys conducted in the Guadiamar River Valley (SW Spain), to monitor de fate of contaminating trace-elements in soils and aboveground plant biomass (main tree species), after a huge mine accident that released acid waters and trace-element contaminated sludge into the Guadiamar River basin. Data included in this set were gathered in Autumn 2005, six years after the mining accident (occurred in April 1998) and subsequent remediation programme.
