Description This is a zipped folder that contains the input alignment files for analyses carried out on selected Lecanora s.l. species to document the phylogenetic placement of the new sorediate species Lecanora remota. The new species was originally included within the broad concept of Lepraria friabilis (a species of the southeastern U.S. including low-elevations of the southern Appalachian Mountains), and shown with molecular data to be unrelated. The data file contains 1) the input files for maximum parsimony (MP), maximum likelihood (ML), Bayesian Inference (BI) and sequence distance analyses, and 2) the original alignment before formatting for those analyses.
