Title Seed germination data of Gentiana lutea

Description Number of germinated seeds of the four Gentiana lutea subspecies. Seeds of subspecies Symphyandra were sampled from two different sites (Mt. Grande on the italian Northern Apennines, and Mt. Nanos in Slovenia). Germination data are divided for treatment: Control means that seeds were produced by flowers left open to natural pollination, Supplementation indicates seeds produced after hand-cross pollinations, Autogamy indicates seeds produced after hand-self pollination. The number of initial seeds used for the experiment (Tested seed) and the total number of germinated seeds (Germinated seeds (tot)) at the end of the experiment are reported. The cumulative number of germinated seeds per day after the beginning of the test (i.e. "day n°2" = second day after the beginning of the test, "day n°6" = sixth day after the beginning of the test) are also reported.
