Description This dataset contains plot-level nutrient concentration data in leaf litter and fine roots for 18 plots of regenerating tropical dry forest in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The nutrients measured include: aluminum, calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, and nitrogen. In addition, we report concentrations of these same elements in branchwood of 31 species that are common in the plots. All methods used to sample these tissues and quantify element concentrations are described in the paper.
