Description Explanation: Electromyography (EMG) data is displayed in 5 folders, that are named „EMG_Day1”, “EMG_Day3”, “EMG_Day9”, “EMG_Day27”, “EMG_Day81” respectively. Each folder contains data from rats that were phrenicotomized at the respective timepoint. The rats are identified by the following numbers: Day 1: 1409, 1410, 1411,1412,1413,1414 Day3: 1815, 1816, 1817, 1818, 1819, 1820 Day 9: 1821, 1822, 1823, 1824, 1825, 1826 Day 27: 1720, 1721, 1722, 1723, 1725 Day 81: 1484, 1485, 1486, 1487, 1488, 1489, 1490, 1491, 1492, 1493 Folder "EMG" contains primary EMG data (e.g. bursts). According to the Materials and Methods Section in the Manuscript, a mean PeEn was created using the respective EMG bursts. The mean PeEn for each subject (sorted timepoint-wise) is displayed in the pdf-file "EMG_PeEN". Primary data is grouped timepoint-wise, including one folder for each subject. EMG bursts are provided as .wav-files. It has to be considered that the following terminology concerning the area of the diaphragm the EMG bursts (.wav-files) originated was used in the respective folders: "animal number_hinten" = "animal number_crural" "animal number_mitte" = "animal number_mid-costal" "animal number_vorne" = "animal number_sternal" "animal_number_kl" = "animal number_non-denervated side"
