Description This dataset includes the raw data on the effect of warming rate, acclimation temperature and ontogeny on the critical thermal maximum of Atlantic herring and European seabass larvae on sheet "CTmax_herring+seabass_Fig2". On sheet "Upper_limits_herring_Fig3", results on the time dependence of upper thermal limits of Atlantic herring are displayed. Finally, review data from upper and lower thermal limits of larval fish are summarized in sheet "Thermal_limits_review_Fig4".
