Description | The attached Excel file provides data for "An avian equivalent of selective abortion: post-laying clutch reduction under resource limitation". The first sheet contains data on the natural occurrence of last-egg abandonment under high and low food conditions in red-necked grebes. The second sheet contains data on the occurrence of prolonged incubation. The third sheet contains data used for calculation of the scaled mass index in juvenile birds. The scaled mass index (SMI) was computed using the equation of Peig & Green (2009). The fourth sheet contains data on the effect of experimentally increased hatching asynchrony on last-egg abandonment rates. |
