Description Fluxes of N2O, CO2 and CH4 from refuse piles and colonies of leaf cutter ant Atta colombica and adjacent forest in a lowland tropical rainforest in southwest Costa Rica. Chemical and microbial characteristics of Atta colombica refuse (inorganic nitrogen concentrations, total carbon and nitrogen content, carbon and nitrogen isotopic ratios, microbial biomass and 16S and ITS abundance). Colony density surveys of Atta colombica and Atta cephalotes in primary and secondary tropical rainforest of southwest Costa Rica.
