Abstract

During the New Year’s Eve 2019, a microphone was placed in a hive, in order to analyze the potential changes in the acoustic behavior of the honeybees. It turned out that the honeybees produced worker piping signals, which are usually signals that are produced shortly before takeoff of a swarm, or are the sign of a disturbed colony. This behavior was solely observed during this peculiar night. It is hypothesized that planetary enhancement of electromagnetic radiation produces a disturbing pollution for honeybees, such as during the New Year’s Eve night.
