Read Me This document explains step-by-step how to log in to the Blue Chaffinch song database provided on dryad. (1) Download the BlueChaffinch.luscdb database from Dryad. (2) Download Luscinia from Github. The link to the Luscinia project is: http://rflachlan.github.io/Luscinia/ The link to the release used to create the db on Luscinia (V14: 2.07.09.16) is: https://github.com/rflachlan/Luscinia/releases/tag/2.07.09.16 Please read the Manual found on the Luscinia github site. For the purposes of opening the BlueChaffinch db, the Luscinia.jar version of the release is platform independent and perfectly adequate. To install it, simply save it somewhere on your computer. (3) Ensure you have Java version 1.8 or greater installed on your computer. (4) Open Luscinia.jar. Click on "Find" on the start log-in page. Navigate to the BlueChaffinch.luscdb directory and click ok. (5) Click "log-in". You should now be able to view spectrograms and measurements of the songs used in the Lijfeld et al manuscript.
