Eunice sp. - PTA staining **************** Volumetric data of a micro-CT scan of a juvenile Eunice sp., a polychaete worm. The zip folder contains *.bmp data of cross sections through the sample and the log file with all scanning and reconstruction parameters. Files can be viewed with any volumetric rendering software (free software is available by various developers). Size of the imaged part of the animal: ca. 2.2 mm. Sample preparation: ----------------------------- Animal was fixed and preserved in 96% ethanol. Prior to scanning it was stained for 24hrs in 0.3% phosphotungstic acid (PTA) in 70% ethanol. For scanning it was placed into a polypropylene pipette tip in 96% Ethanol. Scanning parameters: ---------------------------------- Scanner: SkyScan 1172 Voltage/ Current: 60kV/ 167µA Filter: None Nr of projection images: 1200 Rotation step: 0.3° Exposure time per image: 1835ms Total scanning time: 3:05h Resolution (µm/pixel): 2.298 Reconstruction & Visualisation: ---------------------------------- Software used for reconstruction: NRecon (SkyScan) Software used for volume rendering: CTVox (SkyScan)
