Phyllodoce lineata ************************ Volumetric data of a micro-CT scan of the anterior end of Phyllodoce lineata, a polychaete worm. The zip folder contains *.png data of cross sections through the sample and the log file with all scanning and reconstruction parameters. Files can be viewed with any volumetric rendering software (free software is available by various developers). Scanned part is ca. 3.9mm long. Sample preparation: ----------------------------- Animal was fixed in formalin and preserved in 70% ethanol. Prior to scanning it was stained for 36hrs in 0.3% phosphotungstic acid (PTA) in 70% ethanol. For scanning it was placed into a polypropylene pipette tip in 96% ethanol.
