Phyllodoce sp. *************** ------- -- THIS IS PART 2 OF THE DATASET ! -- This zip folder contains the images 2800 to 5336 -- To obtain the full dataset, download part 1 as well and extract both zip archives into the same folder on your computer. -- The logfile is contained in part 1 only ------- Volumetric data of a micro-CT scan of the anterior end of a Phyllodoce species, a polychaete worm. The zip folder contains *.png data of cross sections through the sample and the log file with all scanning and reconstruction parameters. Files can be viewed with any volumetric rendering software (free software is available by various developers). Size of the imaged part of the animal: ca. 5.5 mm. Sample preparation: ----------------------------- Animal was fixed in formalin and preserved in 70% ethanol. Prior to scanning it was stained for 36hrs in 0.3% phosphotungstic acid (PTA) in 70% ethanol. For scanning it was placed into a polypropylene pipette tip in 96% Ethanol.
