Porter et al. (2018), "Eddy flux measurements of sulfur dioxide deposition to the sea surface". The following is a description of the parameters and geophysical units for the quantities contained in the accompanying data file. These data are sufficient to reproduce the calculation of transfer coefficients using the equations presented in Porter et al., Atmos. Chem. Phys., 2018. The parameters are listed in the same order as in the data file. [DOY]: Decimal day of year (Days after Jan 1 00:00). [H2O_Flux]: Water vapor flux (mol/m2/s). [Delta Q]: Difference between dry air mixing ratio of water vapor measured at 10m above the sea surface and theoretical dry air mixing ratio at the saturation vapor presssure at the measured sea surface temperature (mol/mol dry air). [Dry_Air_Density]: Moles of dry air per cubic meter (mol/m3). Used in Equation 15. [k_H2O]: water vapor transfer velocity (m/s). [Heat_Flux]: Sensible heat flux (W/m2). [Delta_temp]: Temperature differential between the air at 10m and the sea surface (deg C). Used in Equation 17. [Air_Density_sh]: Air density (kg/m3). Used in equation 17. [k_SH]: Sensible heat transfer velocity (m/s). [SO2_Flux]: Sulfur dioxide flux (mol/m2/s). [SO2_conc]: Sulfur dioxide concentration (mol/m3). [k_SO2]: Sulfur dioxide transfer velocity (m/s). [Mom_Flux]: Momemtum flux (N/m2). [U10]: Wind speed at 10m above the sea surface for neutral atmospheric conditions (m/s). [Air_Density_mom]: Air density (kg/m3). Used in equation 16. [k_mom]: Momentum transfer velocities (m/s).
