Description of dataset These data were generated to investigate the spatial patterns of habitat suitability for two species of palm tree in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil: Syagrus botryophora and S. pseudococos. Occurrence points of individuals from these two species were collected from the field as well as from the Global Biodiversity Information Facility website (GBIF.org) as decimal latitude and longitude. In total, we amassed 61 occurrence points for S. botryophora and 50 occurrence points for S. pseudococos. 2. File List: File 1 Name: MERCIER_2022_occurrence_points.csv File 1 Description: Occurrence points of Syagrus botryophora and S. psuedococos DATA-SPECIFIC INFORMATION FOR: MERCIER_2022_occurrence_points.csv 1.
