This repository contains genotype data and sampling metadata for the manuscript "Shifts in coral clonality along a gradient of disturbance: insights on reproduction and dispersal of Pocillopora acuta". The dataset contains genotypes of 428 P. acuta colonies using 16 polymorphic microsatellite loci, colony sizes, in-transect locations of each coral, and geographic coordinates of reef sites. These were used to examine clonal richness and structure, population genetic differentiation, and demographic and genetic connectivity within the reef system. In the study, we estimated the relative contribution of sexual and asexual modes of reproduction to population maintenance, and inferred the species' spatial scale of realized dispersal all against a backdrop of varying levels of wave exposure. Data were generated from Andrew F. Torres' master's thesis (University of the Philippines Diliman).  Data_BARCGON_16loci_all_genotype.txt -- lists 16 polymorphic microsatellite/SSR markers used for analysis (Magalon et al. 2004; Starger et al. 2008; Torda et al. 2013), followed by MLGs of all coral ramets collected from five reef sites in the Philippines (N = 428). Data_BARCGON_16loci_all_meta.txt -- contains sampling information: ---- sample identifiers (Sample_Name, ColonyID_Database, Sample_Number) ---- year of collection (Year) ---- area of sampling (Region, Site, Station, PopCode) ---- coral location in transects (Xcoord, Ycoord) ---- geographic coordinates (Lat_Pop, Long_Pop, Long_Indiv, Lat_Indiv) ---- coral colony sizes (Colony_Diameter_m, Colony_Diameter_cm) For more information regarding the data, please contact aftorres @msi.upd.edu.ph
