Data for 'Immigration counter-acts local micro-evolution of a major fitness component: migration-selection balance in free-living song sparrows' Reid et al., Evolution Letters, 2021 This file contains the phenotypic data for the quantitative genetic (animal model) analysis of juvenile survival from independence from parental care to adulthood (age one year), and analysis of selection on juvenile survival. These data come from the long-term song sparrow field study on Mandarte Island, BC, Canada. The data provided here are sufficient to replicate the analyses presented in the above paper, and are therefore a restricted subset of the full Mandarte dataset. Each row in the dataset relates to one individual. Key to variables: "natalyr" is the year in which each focal individual hatched "nestrec" identifies each focal individual's natal brood "surv.ind.to.ad" defines whether or not each focal individual survived to age one year (0 = died, 1 = survived) "clutch.date" is the lay date of each focal individual's natal clutch "f.coef" is each focal individual's coefficient of inbreeding "q.i" is each focal individual's genetic group coefficient "natalyr.no" is a continuous variable capturing each individual's natal year, in years from the study start "sex" defines whether each focal individual was
