Abstract
This database collects the chloride ion diffusion coefficient measured by RCM method (including the method adopted by the Nordic standard NT Build 492, the IBAC method of Germany's Anchen University of technology, as well as the methods adopted by China's GB/T 50082-2009 and JTG/T B07-01-2006); The curing method is standard curing.
The aim of this study is to investigate the inuences of cement types on chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete and develop a prediction model for chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete in terms of material parameters including "Type of cement", "Amount of fly ash", "Amount of slag", “Grade of fly ash” , “Grade of slag” , “Test method ” and "Water-binder ratio".
Description of the data and file structure
The dataset contains a total of 8 tables and 1270 sets of data. Tables 1 and 2 provide experimental data for ordinary concrete (OPC). Table 3 and
Table 4 are the experimental data of concrete mixed with fly ash (FA) and slag (SG). Table 5 is the experimental data of concrete mixed with fly ash (FA).Table 6 is the experimental data of concrete mixed with slag .Table 7 is the constant voltage RCM data for ordinary concrete.Table 8 is the variable voltage RCM data for ordinary concrete.
Variables and Definitions in tables 1~8

This database collects the chloride ion diffusion coefficient measured by RCM method (including the method adopted by the Nordic standard NT Build 492, the IBAC method of Germany's Anchen University of technology, as well as the methods adopted by China's GB/T 50082-2009 and JTG/T B07-01-2006); The curing method is standard curing.
Version changes
13-may-2024: Table 5 was added into the file "Experimental data for chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete by rapid chloride migration test.xls", which includes 209 sets of test data for the chloride diffusion coefficient of fly ash concrete.
10-sep-2024: After verification, 13 sets of duplicate chloride diffusion coefficient test data for fly ash concrete were removed from Table 5 in the file "Experimental data for chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete by rapid chloride migration test.xls".
14-jan-2025: Table 6 was added into the file "Experimental data for chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete by rapid chloride migration test.xls", including 223 sets of test data for the chloride diffusion coefficient of slag concrete. Tables 7 and 8 were added into the file "Experimental data for chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete by rapid chloride migration test.xls", including 99 and 153 datasets for the chloride diffusion coefficient of ordinary concrete respectively. The RCM test adopted to measure the diffusion coefficient of concrete is categorized into two method: the constant voltage method and the variable voltage method. The constant voltage method should comply with the Chinese standard JTG/T B07-01-2006 and the IBAC method of Germany's Anchen University of technology. The variable voltage method should comply with the Chinese standard GB/T 50082 and Nordic standard NTBUILD-492 . The data presented in Table 7 and Table 8 further differentiate the RCM testing methodologies. Specifically, Table 7 employs the constant voltage RCM method, whereas Table 8 utilizes the variable voltage RCM method.
