Abstract
These are phase contrast images of Hierodula membranacea primary spermatocytes. For each image, 608 px=10 µm.
Living cells in meiosis I were imaged using a Zeiss inverted microscope equipped with a 100× 1.25 NA phase-contrast, oil immersion objective and an Infinity 1 camera with Infinity Analyze software. These are raw, unprocessed images. For each image, 608 px=10 µm.
Any software that allows observation of jpg files will open these data files (e.g. imageJ, Adobe Photoshop).
