The files to be archived contain the data that support figure 1 of the manuscript. The data were generated by Alice Winn (contact winn@bio.fsu.edu) in 2011 with a simulation program "Inbreeding History Model" provided by John K. Kelly from the University of Kansas and described in; Kelly, J. K. 2007. Mutation-selection balance in mixed mating populations. Journal of Theoretical Biology 246:355-365. The program simulated evolution of inbreeding depression for user-specified per-generation mutation rate, dominance coefficient, strength of selection, and percent self-fertilization. The mutation rate was set at 1 for all simulations. There is one datafile for each of three combinations of dominance coefficient (h) and strength of selection (s): Datafile weak.txt contains the output for weak selection (h = 0.4, s = 0.001) Datafile moderate.txt contains the output for moderate selection (h = 0.2, s = 0.05) Datafile strong.txt contains the output for strong selection (h = 0.02, s = 1) The columns in each file are the generation of the simulation (variable "generation"), and inbreeding depression for each of three frequencies of outcrossing; The variable id99 is the inbreeding depression for an outcrossing frequency of 0.99 The variable id95 is the inbreeding depression for an outcrossing frequency of 0.95 The variable id50 is the inbreeding depression for an outcrossing frequency of 0.50 generation and inbreeding depression are both unitless variables "NA" is used to indicate missing data for all variables
