This file details the locations of data used for 'Evaluating the efficacy of independent versus simultaneous management strategies to address ecological and genetic threats to population viability' by Trask, Fenn, Bignal, McCracken, Monaghan & Reid, Journal of Applied Ecology 2019. This study uses data from the long-term study of red-billed choughs on the Isle of Islay, Scotland, UK. If you are interested in working on this data then please get in touch with Prof Jane Reid (Norwegian University of Science and Technology & University of Aberdeen) and Dr Amanda Trask (Zoological Society of London). The model input parameter values are available in Appendix 4 of Trask et al. 2019. The output files of scenario model simulations are available in the following files: 'data baseline model' - this is the output data from the Baseline model (i.e. 'No Management scenario') 'data genetic management 1translocation' - this is the output data from the model of Genetic Management consisting of one translocation of 24 individuals. 'data genetic management 2translocations' - this is the output data from the model of Genetic Management consisting of two translocations of 24 individuals each. 'data genetic management dbltranslocations' - this is the output data from the model of Genetic Management consisting of two large translocations of 48 individuals each. 'data ecological management' - this is the output data from the model of Ecological Management, based on the effects of supplementary feeding. 'data simultaneous management 1translocation' - this is the output data from the model of simultaneous Genetic and Ecological Management, consisting of one translocation of 24 indivduals. 'data simultaneous management 2translocations' - this is the output data from the model of simultaneous Genetic and Ecological Management, consisting of two translocations of 24 indivduals each. 'data simultaneous management dbltranslocations' - this is the output data from the model of simultaneous Genetic and Ecological Management, consisting of two large translocations of 48 individuals each. Data for estimation of the effects of supplementary feeding on 1st and 2nd year survival probabilities are available in the following files: 'data for 1st yr survival' - this is the data required for estimation of the effect of supplementary feeding on 1st year survival. 'data for 2nd yr survival' - this is the data required for estimation of the effect of supplementary feeding on 2nd year survival. Data for estimation of the effect of supplementary feeding on adult survival probability and reproductive success will be available in Fenn et al. In Prep. Data for estimation of age-specific survival probabilities and reproductive success used for parameterization of the Baseline model (i.e. 'No management' scenario) are available at the Dryad Digital Repository https://doi.org/10.5061/dryad.68kk0.(Trask, Bignal, McCracken, Piertney, & Reid, 2017). Microsatellite genotype data used for estimation of the initial population mean inbreeding coefficient is available at the Dryad Digital Repository https://doi.org/10.5061/dryad.68kk0. (Trask, Bignal, McCracken, Piertney, & Reid, 2017).
