This dataset contains the 5 calls per trial with the highest broadband ENR ('enrb') per trial (see 'indenr' field in column 'loctrack' of 'atrack_info.mat'). Each row is one call and the different columns are: - 'call_idx': call index from the same trial; - 'trial_id': trial id number; - 'datenum': serial date number for the date on which the data were collected; - 'bat_num': number corresponding to each bat; - 'noise_sphere': broadband noise level generated from the hydrophone (as dB re. 20 uPa root-mean-square at 0.1 m from the speaker, no-noise trials correspond to the value of 20); - 'time_flight_s': flying time to complete the landing task for this trial (in seconds); - 'range_sphere_m': localized range from spherical transducer (in metres) for each recorded call; - 'noise_rec': broadband received noise level at 0.1 m from the bat (as dB re. 20 uPa root-mean-square) after accounting for spherical spreading and absorption; - 'call_dur_s': call duration in seconds (defined by the -10 dB endpoints of the amplitude envelope); - 'snr': signal-to-noise ratio (in dB) for this call; - 'fpeak_khz': peak frequency (in kHz) for this call; - 'fcentroid_khz': centroid frequency (in kHz) for this call; - 'sl': source level of this call (as root-mean-square, dB re. 20 uPa at 0.1 m); - 'slefd': source level of this call (as energy flux density, dB re. 20 μPa^2 s at 0.1 m); - 'el': echo level of this call from the sphere (as root-mean-square, dB re. 20 uPa at 0.1 m from the bat); - 'elefd': echo level of this call from the sphere (as energy flux density, dB re. 20 μPa^2 s at 0.1 m from the bat); - 'enrb': broadband echo-to-noise ratio (dB); - 'enrn': echo energy to noise spectral density ratio (dB); - 'enrop': 1/3 octave echo-to-noise ratio around the call peak frequency (dB); - 'ipi_s': interpulse interval (in seconds), the time between the end and start of successive calls & - 'daynumber': sequential number for each day of data collection.
