Description of dataset This data was generated from a study evaluating early survival and growth of native tree species, as part of the tropical forest restoration efforts in Arunachal Pradesh, Eastern Himalaya, India. 3022 saplings of 50 species were planted at a restorations site, out of which 17 species were examined for seasonal variation in survival and 9 species for seasonal variation in growth-rate (stem height and diameter). 2. Files A. Descriptive files: File 1: For an overall description of the data, see file: EcologicalRestoration_data_description.txt File 2: For a description of the columns corresponding to the data, see file: EcologicalRestoration_schema.csv B. Data files: File 1: KM_test.csv (contains details of species that were measured for survival across three seasons- two wet and one dry season and the censoring status used for Kaplan Meier survival analysis) File 2: GR.csv (contains details of the relative diameter and height growth-rates of nine tree species across three seasons- two wet and one dry) File 3: RGR.csv (contains details of diameter and height of nine tree species measured across three seasons- two wet and one dry, used for the calculation of the relative diameter and height growth-rates) C. R Code: RScript_EcologicalRestoration: is the RScript that was used for data analysis METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION Growth-rate measurements- Negative readings for height were retained, whereas negative readings for stem diameter were converted to zero prior to the analysis.
