Orthoptera_community Dataset from König et al. (2022) Phylogenetic relatedness of food plants reveals highest insect herbivore specialisation at intermediate temperatures along a broad climatic gradient. Global Change Biology Correspondence: Sebastian König Department of Animal Ecology and Tropical Biology University of Wuerzburg sebastian.c.koenig@uni-wuerzburg.de Files are saved as tab-delimited .txt files. Dataset description: This dataset contains the abundance of Orthoptera species detected visually during transect walks at each study site between June and October 2019 in Bavaria (Germany). See the method description in König et al. (2022) for more details. Description of matrix: Lines = Each line corresponds to one of the study sites. Columns = Each column represents one of the Orthoptera species of this study. Note: Chorthippus eisentrauti population is likely a hybrid with Chorthippus biguttulus. Tetrix kraussi and Tetrix bipunctata are also considered to be synonyms by some authors.
