Filename: OFB_ReefEffect_CPODexe_HP-Clickdetails_Aug2021.csv Harbour porpoise echolocation click details between 1st and 31st of August 2021 extracted from CPODs using cpod.exe v. 2.044. Twelve columns: Date, Minute, microsec, cycles, SPL_Pa, kHz, Bandwidth, end_kHz, Qn, Trn, site, dep Date is the date and time when the echolocation click was detected (YYYY-mm-dd HH:MM:SS, in UTC) Minute is the number of minutes since the start of 1900 at which the echolocation click was detected. Microsec is the microsecond in the minute when the echolocation click was detected. Cycles is the duration of the echolocation click represented as the number of cycles at the dominant frequency. SPL_Pa is the value of the maximum sound pressure level of the echolocation click in Pascals. kHz is the dominant frequency of the echolocation click based on zero-crossing intervals. Bandwidth is a measure on an arbitrary scale of frequency bandwidth (zero bandwidth sounds are pure tones; high bandwidth sounds resemble white noise, cracking, crunching and other such sounds that have no easily recognisable pitch). end_kHz is the frequency value derived from the last zero crossing interval. Qn is the numeric assessment of the cpod.exe Kerno echolocation click classifier (High: 3, Moderate: 2 and Low quality: 1). Trn is the numeric identifier of the echolocation click train. Site is the numeric identifier of the location at which that CPOD was deployed. Dep is the numeric identifier of the CPOD deployment. 2. Filename: OFB_ReefEffect_CPODexe_HP-DPH_perDAY_2021.txt Data from cpod.exe summarising harbour porpoise detections per day between 1st and 31st of August 2021. Eight columns: depl, location.id, date, year, month, total.hours, dph, por.pres Depl is the numeric identifier of the CPOD deployment. Location.id is the numeric identifier of the location at which that CPOD was deployed. Date is the date (YYYY-mm-dd). Year is the year (YYYY). Month is the month (1-12). Tot.hours is the number of hours that the CPOD was working during that day. Dph is the number of harbour porpoise detection positive hours (DPH) during that day. Por.pres is the presence/absence of harbour porpoises’ detections during that day (1: present; 0: absent). 3. Filename: OFB_ReefEffect_CPODexe_MaxClickInfo_perDAY_Aug21.csv Data from cpod.exe summarising information on CPOD scan limit and maximum number of recorded clicks for the CPODs deployed between 1st and 31st of August 2021. Eight columns: date, month, depl, location.id, clicklimit, tot.min.maxreached, perc.min.maxreached, plus1pmaxreached. Date is the date (YYYY-mm-dd). Month is the month (1-12). Depl is the numeric identifier of the CPOD deployment. Location.id is the numeric identifier of the location at which that CPOD was deployed. Clicklimit is the maximum number of clicks per minute the CPOD was set to record (scan limit). Tot.min.maxreached is the total number of minutes when the CPOD reached the maximum scan limit per day. Perc.min.maxreached is the percentage of minutes of the day at which the CPOD reached the maximum scan limit. Plus1pmaxreached indicates whether the CPOD reached the maximum scan limit more than 1 percent of the minutes of that day (0: No, 1: Yes). 5. Filename: OFB_ReefEffect_TPODexe_HP-ClickTimes_2005.csv Harbour porpoise echolocation click times between 13th of August and 31st of October 2005 extracted from TPODs using tpod.exe v.8. Seven columns: Minutes, scan, microsec, dur, datetime, location.id, depl. Minutes is the number of minutes since the start of 1900 at which the echolocation click was detected. Scan is the scan number at which the echolocation click was detected (1-6). Microsec is the microsecond in the minute when the echolocation click was detected. Dur is the duration of the echolocation click Datetime is the datetime (dd/mm/YYYY HH:MM, in UTC). Location.id is the numeric identifier of the location at which that TPOD was deployed. Depl is the numeric identifier of the TPOD deployment. 6. Filename: OFB_ReefEffect_TPODexe_HP-PPM_perHOUR_2005.txt Data from tpod.exe summarising harbour porpoise detections per hour between 1st and 31st of August 2005. Dph is the number of harbour porpoise detection positive hours (DPH) during that day. Por.pres is the presence/absence of harbour porpoises’ detections during that day (1: present; 0: absent). Eleven columns: depl, location.id, date, total.hours, dph, por.pres, bph, mindist, plus1pmaxreached, cpod.group, closest.structure. Depl is the numeric identifier of the CPOD deployment. Location.id is the numeric identifier of the location at which that CPOD was deployed. Date is the date (YYYY-mm-dd). Tot.hours is the number of hours that the CPOD was working during that day. Dph is the number of harbour porpoise detection positive hours (DPH) during that day. Por.pres is the presence/absence of harbour porpoises’ detections during that day (1: present; 0: absent). Bph is the total number of hours per day when echolocation buzzes were detected (Buzz Positive Hours). Mindist is the distance to the closest offshore structure (m). plus1pmaxreached indicates whether the CPOD reached the maximum scan limit more than 1 percent of the minutes of that day (0: No, 1: Yes). cpod.group indicates the CPOD group. Two levels: “Structure CPOD” (distance to closest offshore structure < 200 m) and “Non-structure CPOD” (> 200 m). closest.structure indicates the closest offshore structure to the CPOD. NA when distance to any structure is > 1500 m. 9. Filename: OFB_ReefEffect_ HP-DPH-BPH_perDAYNIGHT_FinalDataset.csv Dataset that combines harbour porpoise detections and information on offshore structures to investigate the diel occurrence and foraging behaviour of harbour porpoises around structures. Twelve columns: depl, location.id, date, diel, dn.dph, dn.toth, dn.bph, mindist, plus1pmaxreached, cpod.group, closest.structure, cpod.structure.group. Depl is the numeric identifier of the CPOD deployment. Location.id is the numeric identifier of the location at which that CPOD was deployed. Date is the date (YYYY-mm-dd). Diel indicates the diel group (2 levels: day/night). Dn.dph is the number of harbour porpoise detection positive hours (DPH) during that diel group. Dn.toth is the total number of hours that the CPOD was working during that diel group. Dn.bph is the total number of hours per diel group when echolocation buzzes were detected (Buzz Positive Hours). Mindist is the distance to the closest offshore structure (m). plus1pmaxreached indicates whether the CPOD reached the maximum scan limit more than 1 percent of the minutes of that day (0: No, 1: Yes). cpod.group indicates the CPOD group. Two levels: “Structure CPOD” (distance to closest offshore structure < 200 m) and “Non-structure CPOD” (> 200 m). closest.structure indicates the closest offshore structure to the CPOD. Six levels: Jacky.200m (CPOD located < 200 m from Jacky platform), Jacky.1500m (CPOD located between 200 and 1500 from Jacky platform), BeaBra.200m (CPOD located < 200 m from Beatrice Bravo platform), BeaBra.1500m (CPOD located between 200 and 1500 from Beatrice Bravo platform), WT.200m (CPOD located < 200 m from Beatrice Demonstrator turbines), WT.1500m (CPOD located between 200 and 1500 from Beatrice Demonstrator turbines). NA when distance to any structure is > 1500 m. 10. Structure is the presence/absence of the offshore structure (Absent: 2005 TPOD data, Present: 2021 CPOD data). Hour is the numerical hour (0-23). 13. Filename: OFB_ReefEffect_OffshoreStructures_Locations.csv Dataset that includes the locations of all offshore structures of the study area. Three columns: platform, latitude, longitude. Platform is the offshore structure name. Latitude is the latitude (decimal degrees). Longitude is the longitude (decimal degrees). 14. Filename: OFB_ReefEffect_PAMLocations.csv Dataset that includes the locations of all POD deployments. Four columns: depl, location.id, latitude, longitude. Depl is the numeric identifier of the POD deployment. Location.id is the numeric identifier of the location at which the POD was deployed. Latitude is the latitude (decimal degrees).
