Alternate Contact Information Name: Gabriel Barrile Email: gbarrile15@gmail.com Date of data collection: May 2015 - June 2020 Geographic location of data collection: Bridger-Teton National Forest, western Wyoming, USA Funding source that supported the collection of the data: Wyoming Game and Fish Department SHARING/ACCESS INFORMATION Recommended citation for this dataset: Barrile, G. M., Chalfoun, A. D., Estes-Zumpf, W. A., & Walters, A. W. (2022). Data from: Wildfire influences individual growth and breeding dispersal, but not survival and recruitment in a montane amphibian. Dryad Digital Repository. METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: capture-mark-recapture methods of adult boreal toads Methods for processing the data: data are formatted for the analyses conducted in this study (i.e., capture-recapture models). For instance, the dataset includes a capture history for each individual toad. Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data: We used the RMark package in Program R to analyze and interpret data, though other software may be used and should produce the same results. DATA-SPECIFIC INFORMATION FOR: ECS21-0740_Capture-Histories_Aboreas_2015-2020 Number of variables: 11 Number of cases/rows: 1416 (including the top row of column names) Variable List: Capture_History = capture history for each individual toad: '0' indicates the individual was not captured during the given survey, 'A' indicates the individual was captured at a primary site (see main text for description), and 'B' indicates the individual was captured at an alternative site. Site = stream reach where the individual was captured (i.e., Buck, Chall, Lower Gypsum, and Upper Gypsum creeks) Mountain_Range = mountain range where the individual was captured (i.e., Wyoming and Wind River Ranges) Wildfire = indicates whether the site was 'Burned' or 'Unburned' in the Roosevelt Wildfire of 2018 Tag_ID = the unique identifier for the individual that was captured. Numbers in this column were derived from passive integrated transponder tags, which were inserted subcutaneously in each adult boreal toad upon capture. In other words, each unique number in this column represents a unique individual. Avg_Mass_2015 = average body mass (g) for a given individual when weighed during capture surveys in 2015. Avg_Mass_2016 = average body mass (g) for a given individual when weighed during capture surveys in 2016. Avg_Mass_2017 = average body mass (g) for a given individual when weighed during capture surveys in 2017. Avg_Mass_2018 = average body mass (g) for a given individual when weighed during capture surveys in 2018. Avg_Mass_2019 = average body mass (g) for a given individual when weighed during capture surveys in 2019. Avg_Mass_2020 = average body mass (g) for a given individual when weighed during capture surveys in 2020.
