Additional related data collected that was not included in the current data package: NA 4. Are there multiple versions of the dataset? No METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION 1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: This is a population-level retrospective cohort study included children 12 years and younger and was collected over a period of 11 months in 2020 and 2021. Patients were identified through multiple national-level electronic coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) databases. SARS-CoV-2 reinfection was defined as having two or more positive SARS-CoV-2 PCR done on a respiratory sample, at least 45 days apart. Clinical data was obtained from the Pediatric COVID-19 Registry in Kuwait (PCR-Q8). Descriptive statistics and incidence-sensitivity analyses were performed. Infected children with mild or asymptomatic COVID-19 may not require hospitalization. Therefore, clinical data in the registry may be lacking. For those subjected, parents were contacted to complete missing disease-related data. Missing values were excluded from analysis. The study was approved by the ethical board of the Ministry of Health, Kuwait (reference no. 1607/2020). 2. Methods for processing the data: Descriptive analysis was performed as well as incidence-sensitivity analysis assessing the incidence when different definitions of the time interval of PCR repositivity 3.
