Data description: XRD data: Two sets of diffraction data are provided: 1) Integrated diffraction data in the excel file Davemaoite_Deposited_data. This file also contains IR spectra and calculated mode energies 2) Raw diffraction image frames and a calibration file. Description of 1) Column A labeled XRD indicates that the next few columns are X-ray diffraction data. Rest of column XRD is intenionally left empty. Column B tth gives the two-theta values, wavelength = 0.05166 nm. Next three columns give the Rietveld model pattenrs of wustite, iron and davemaoite, labeled as Wustite_Rtv, Fe_Rtv, and Dvm_Rtv, respectively. Column F Resid_Rtv gives the residual of the Rietveld fit. Column G left intentionally empty. Column H tth_raw gives the two-theta values of the observed diffraction pattern. Column I Int_raw gives the observed intensities for each two-theta increment of the observed pattern. Column J intentionally left empty. 3) Column K labeled LA indicates that the next few columns are LA-ICP-MS depth profiles. Rest of column LA is intenionally left empty below row 4. Column L gives measurement time in s. Column M gives the measured signal of 44Ca in counts per second (cps). Column N gives the measured signal of 52Cr in counts per second (cps). Column O gives the measured signal of 56Fe in counts per second (cps). These columns have no data beyond row 100 Column P gives unit cps = counts per second, rest is intentionally left empty. Column Q intentionally left empty. 4) Column R defines next set of data of infrared (IR) spectroscopy, labeled IR-data Column S gives the wavenmber of the IR spectrum of davemaoite in reciprocal centimeters (cm-1). Column T gives the relative absorbance of the IR spectrum of davemaoite after background subtraction (for background treatment:see supplement of paper Tschauner et al., Science 374, 891–894 (2021) ) Column U intentionally left empty. 5) Column V indicates that the next column gives the calculated IR-active mode energies of davemaoite and is intentionally left empty below row 3. Column W gives the calculated IR-active mode energies of davemaoite in reciprocal centimeters (cm-1). Column Y intentionally left empty. Column Z is labeled Raw data and indicates that the next two columns give the IR spectrum without background subtraction. Column AA gives the wavenmber of the IR spectrum of davemaoite in reciprocal centimeters (cm-1). Column AB , labeled Type, gives the absorbance of the IR spectrum of davemaoite and surrounding diamond as measured, without background treatment. Column AC , labeled Reference, gives the absorbance of the IR spectrum of diamond close to davemoite, without background treatment. GRR1518-and...wdata.xlsx gives the LA-ICP-MS raw data, data analysis and description of data analysis. Description of 2): a) File 'Calibration.poni' is a calibration file for the Dioptas integration software that contains calibration parameters, described in DIOPTAS: a program for reduction of two-dimensional X-ray diffraction data and data exploration C Prescher, VB Prakapenka. High Pressure Research 35 (3), 223-230. This file is optional since the calibrant data and wavelength are given for calibration with any suitable software. b) CeO2_24keV_0002. tif is the diffraction image frame of the calibrant. c) Files 'Grr1518FeCr7map_0001.tif' to 'Grr1518FeCr7map_0153. tif' is a series of diffraction frames taken across a grid in the region of the davemaoite inclusion with set up parameters as given in O. Tschauner et al. Discovery of davemaoite, CaSiO3-perovskite, as a mineral from the lower mantle. Science 374, 891-894 (2021). d) Davemaoite.cif is a Crystallographic Information File that contains the summary of the structure analysis and structure information. Raw and processed chemicala analysis data are given in a separate xls file labeled GRR1518-andblks-rawdata.xlsx. Description of GRR1518-andblks-rawdata.xlsx Column A labeled ISbeforeBS gives count time in seconds from row 8 to 107 and labels Average air blank, 3-sigma, and Correct for airblank in rows 128, 129, and 130 respectively, then depth profile analysis number from row 131 to 149, and labels in rows 172 to 174, and 177 and 178. Rest of column is intenionally left empty. Colums B to AB rows 8 to 107 give measured counts per second of the measured masses. Rows 128 and 129 give the average air blanks and 3-sigma, respectively, and rows 131 to 149 give the corrected counts. Rows 151 to 169 give counts corrected for diamond, and rows 173 and 174 give average values and values normalized to 28Si. Rest of columns are intenionally left empty. Column K row 151, columns L and M, lines 151 to 174 are intentionally lef empty.
