File List: File 1 Name: Raw_Data-Sinocyclocheilus.csv File 1 Description: Raw data collection about neuromast from laboratory measurements 2. Are there multiple versions of the dataset? No. METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION 1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: Measurements were collected from the lab work. Anesthesia was performed using MS-222 and short-time ice bathing, fluorescence staining was performed using DAISPEI solution, and photography was performed using fluorescence microscopy Leica M165FC. 2. Methods for processing the data: Neuromast numbers were quantified by using"Find Maxima", an automated cell counting feature and "Measure" feature in FIJI. Patterns measurements were performed by using "colocalization" and "JACop" plugins in FIJI. Distribution measuremetns were calculated by using "Delaunay Voronoi" triangulation plugins in FIJI. 3. Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data: FIJI, GIMP.
