Alive = the fledgling was known to be alive; dead = the fledgling was known to be dead; unknown = the fate of the fledgling was unknown **Date.Fledge**: The date the fledgling left the nest; month/day/year format **First.Track**: The date of the first day a fledgling was radio-tracked; month/day/year format. NAs indicate that there was no radio-tracking conducted for that fledgling, hence no first date of tracking. **Last.Found**: the date the fledgling was last found (alive or dead); month/day/year format. Some fledglings that were not radio-tagged, but were uniquely color banded were found incidentally, and thus have a last found date. NAs indicate the fledgling was not observed after banding or tagging. **Last.Track**: the date of the final tracking effort for the fledgling; month/day/year format. NAs indicate that the fledgling was not radio-tracked, and thus there is no last tracking date. **Day.Fledge.Last**: the number of days between the fledging date and last observation date for each fledgling. NAs indicated that the fledgling was not observed after banding/radio-tagging and thus there is no quantity for number of days between fledging and the last observation. **Date.Tag**: the date the fledgling was radio-tagged and/or color banded; month/day/year format **age.band**: the age (days since hatching) of the fledgling when banded and/or radio-tagged **age.last**: the age (days since hatching) of the fledgling at the last observation. NAs indicated the fledgling was not observed after banding/radio-tagging and thus had no last date of observation/no age at last observation. **Ind.Date**: the date the fledgling was observed to become independent from it's parents; month/day/year format. NAs indicate that the fledgling was either 1) not radio-tracked and thus we cannot know the fate or age of independence, or 2) we did not observe it for enough days to know it became independent of parents. **Days.After.Ind**: the number of days the fledgling was observed after becoming independent from parents. NAs indicate that the fledgling was either 1) not radio-tracked and thus we cannot know the fate, or 2) we did not observe it for enough days to know it became independent of parents. **Day.Fledge.Ind**: The number of days from the date of fledging to the date when observed independent from parents. NAs indicate that the fledgling was either 1) not radio-tracked and thus we cannot know the fate or number of days from fledgling to independence, or 2) we did not observe it for enough days to know it became independent of parents. **Age.Ind**: the age (days since hatching) of the fledgling that it was observed to be independent from parents. NAs indicate that the fledgling was either 1) not radio-tracked and thus we cannot know the fate or age of independence, or 2) we did not observe it for enough days to know it became independent of parents. **Site**: A number indicating which distinct habitat patch that the observation was in **Obs.Aft.Band**: Y = the chick was observed as a free-moving fledgling after it was banded and/or radio-tagged as a nestling; N = the chick was not observed as a free-moving fledgling after it was banded and/or radio-tagged ##### Metadata for tabs "LogExposure_AllFledgeData", "LogExp_OneLong", and "LogExp_OneShort" *Data in this tab represent data collected in Olah et. al. 2023 used for logistic exposure survival models.* *All three tabs have the same columns.* *Data in "LogExposure_AllFledgData" are data for all fledglings with a known fate used for survival modelling, including siblings.* *Data in "LogExp_OneLong" are data for only one fledgling per brood, that was observed for the greatest number of days post-fledging.* *Data in "LogExp_OneShort" are data for only one fledgling per brood, that was observed for the fewest number of days post-fledging.* **Year:**: Year of data collection **Nest:**: Nest ID = color band combination of male associated with the nest/fledgling **Chick:**: Color band combination of the fledgling **Date.obs:**: The date of the fledgling observation; Month/Day/Year format **date.fledge:**: The date the fledgling left the nest; month/day/year format **days.obs.since.fledge:**: The number of days between the observation and when the fledgling left the nest **obs:**: The sequential number of the observation.
