ESM soils package The ESM soils package accompanies: Newman et al., In press. Drivers of landscape evolution: multiple regimes and their influence on carbon sequestration in a sub-tropical peatland. Ecol. Mono. It contains a copy of soils data collected throughout the Everglades wetland landscape. Units are within the file and noted at the top of each column. The cluster column is based on K means cluster analysis of the dataset, see Newman et al., for details. Soil cores were collected in 2003. Soil profiles are the depth increments for sampling; 1= benthic periphyton/floc, 2= 0-10 cm depth, 3= 0-20 cm depth increment. The actual depth of the profile is listed in the depth column, in cm. A photograph and visual estimation of percent cover of vegetation were also collected at each site and included in this table. Please contact me if you have any suggestions, or find errors or inconsistencies. Also, please let me know about your uses of this dataset and if possible send manuscripts and reprints when available. I would be interested in seeing how these data are used and happy to help in any way I can. Cheers Sue *******************************CONTENTS********************************************* 1.
