These folders each contain input files for running the version of APEX associated with Zilverberg et al. Process-based simulation of prairie growth. Ecological Modelling. doi: 10.1016/j.ecolmodel.2017.02.004 All simulations were prepared for a site at Hays, Kansas, United States of America The files must be extracted from the zipped archive in order to work. The executable should be Placed in the same folder as the input files. Folder names refer to 1) stocking rate (Heavy, Moderate, or Light) 2) a general sensitivity analysis (Sensitivity) 3) sensitivity analysis that involves hay cutting or not (Sensitivity - Cut) 4) simulations using 1 plant species rather than 5 (SingleSpecies) 5) the impact of a range of stocking rates (Multiple stocking rates) Changing certain parameters, such as grazing efficiency or parameter 97, must be done by hand or with an external script that changes input files, runs the executable, and repeats. The Multiple stocking rates folder contains such a script written in R. APEX user manuals are available at: http://epicapex.tamu.edu/manuals-and-publications/
