ObservationalPhenology.txt contains data of the date of first flower, date of snowmelt, accumulated growing degree days at first flower, and daylength at first flower for the six species monitored in the observational experiment. Plot: The plot within which plants were monitored each year. Year: The year of the study period. Ordinal_date_of_snowmelt: The ordinal date of year on which snow melted at our study site. The values derived over the entire study period were estimated from a regression of plot-level snowmelt dates on study region snowmelt dates for a portion of the study period. See supplemental information for details. Ordinal_date_of_Flower: The ordinal date of year when a flower was first observed in a plot. Days_snowmelt_to_flowering: The number of days from the ordinal date of snowmelt to the ordinal date of first flower. Accumulated_growing_degree_days: The number of accumulated growing degree days from the start of the growing season to the date of first flower. See supplemental information for details. Daylength: The number of hours of daylight per day (in decimal format) on the date of first open flower. Species: The species for which each observation was made.
