1) The file 'Serengeti.csv' includes Thomson's gazelle data used in our study. The data contain the presence and absence of Thomson's gazelle at 195 sites within Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. The sites were sampled using a network of 179 motion-sensitive and thermally activated cameras. The original data file is obtained from Hepler et al. (2018) (https://datadryad.org/stash/dataset/doi:10.5061/dryad.34kb373), and we've used the following columns in our data example. "lat" includes the latitude of the central location of the site. "long" includes the longitude of the central location of the site. Columns "2012-01-01" to "2012-12-26" include The presence-absence of Thomson's gazelle on each date. 2) The file 'Sugarglider.csv' includes sugar glider data that is used in our study. The data contain the presence and absence of sugar gliders. The data were collected during four or five site visits made to 100 sites in the Southern Forest region of Tasmania. The original data file is obtained from Stojanovic (2019)(https://datadryad.org/stash/dataset/doi:10.5061/dryad.xgxd254bt), and we've used the following columns in our data example. "site" contains the name of the site. "easting" includes the longitude of the central location of the site. "northing" includes the latitude of the central location of the site. Columns "survey1" to "survey5" include The presence-absence of sugar gliders on each survey. 3) The zip file 'Serengeti.zip' includes the associated shapefile for the sampling grid in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, where Thomson's gazelle data were collected. 4) The zip file 'Sugarglider.zip' includes the associated shapefile for the Southern Forest region of Tasmania, where the sugar glider data were collected.
