Files descriptions: occurrences_af_cc.csv - Occurrence records of plants of the Atlantic Forest of Brazil, downloaded through the Species Link Network (www.splink.org.br, see the list of contributing herbaria in the supplementary material). AOOsliding5to50.csv - Observed area of occupancy estimated according to the sliding scale method described in Leão et al. (2020). The area of occupancy is the sum of the grid cell area occupied by the species, where the grid cell size varies in proportion to the scale of the species geographic range extent. The cell width is set as one-tenth of the maximum distance between occurrences with a minimum cell size of 5 x 5 km and a maximum of 50 x 50 km. This method is a hybrid between the traditional area of occupancy (with fixed cell size) and extent of occurrence, helping to find appropriate cell sizes for the estimation of area of occupancy according to the species' range extent. - Leão, T.C.C., Nic Lughadha, E. & Reich, P.B. (2020) Evolutionary patterns in the geographic range size of Atlantic Forest plants. Ecography, 43, 1510-1520. HSM.R - R script for the habitat suitability modelling with a summarization of output metrics to be analyzed. HSM_output.csv - Output values from the habitat suitability modelling stage. Analyses.R - R script for the analyses. ###### To entirely run the HSM.R script, you have to download additional files from their sources: List of species endemic to Brazil - Get the files "taxon.txt" and "distribution.txt" from Flora do Brasil 2020 (Brazilian Flora 2020, downloaded on 16 Jan 2019). - http://ipt.jbrj.gov.br/jbrj/resource?r=lista_especies_flora_brasil Land use data, Harmonized Global Land Use for Years 1500 -2100.
