********************ATLAS OF MEXICAN TRIATOMINAE******************** VERSION 1.0 MARCH 2015 The data base is part of the paper: Ramsey JM, Peterson AT, Carmona-Castro O, Moo-Llanes DA, Nakazawa Y, Tun-Ku E, de la Cruz-Felix K, Ibarra-Cerdeña CN. 2015. Atlas of Mexican Triatominae (Reduviidae: Hemiptera) and vector transmission of Chagas Disease. Memorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz. Issue special: Chagas Disease. It contains a copy of the ocurrence data file exactly as used for this paper divided in two excel sheets: Triatominae and Tcruzi. Triatomine species from North America (Mexico and United States of America) included six genera: Belminus, Dipetalogaster, Eratyrus, Triatoma, Panstrongylus, and Paratriatoma. Triatoma species were classified following Lent H, & Wygodzinsky P (1979) Revision of the Triatominae (Hemiptera: Reduviidae), and their significance as vector of Chagas Disease. Bull Am Museum Nat Hist 163: pp; except for Triatoma dimidiata, which was divided into three terminal taxa according to evidence suggesting that this is a complex of cryptic species. We have named the analyzed taxa T. dimidiata haplogroup 1 for the populations from the Yucatan Peninsuala; T. dimidiata haplogroup 2 for those inhabiting Gulf, Central Mexico, and Pacific Coastal north of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec; and T. dimidiata Haplogroup 3 for the populations inhabiting the Pacific coast of Chiapas. ***********************************CONTENTS*********************************** 1.
