The binary disc packings -- Song-Chuan Zhao, 14 March 2014 The packings are generated experimentally by tapping. Details can be found in our published EPL, Vol. 97, P34004 (2012) and to be published Soft Matter article. Each tar.bz2 contains around 8000 TXT files. Each file represents a realization of binary disc packings. The structure of the TXT files is: 1st column: index of discs. 2nd column: coordinate x of the center of disks 3rd column: coordinate y of the center of disks 4th column: the radius of the disks. 5th column: the Voronoi area. The computation details can be found in our publications. The unit is pixel. In our experiment, 1mm ~ 5.9pixel. The diameter of large and small disks are 9mm and 6mm respectively. The coordinate system and the direction of gravity are shown below. ----------------> x | | | <------------ | gravity y Our analysis is done for the central spatially most homogeneous region [EPL, Vol. 97, P34004 (2012)]. Those regions are circular area of diameter 108 mm. The centers of the analyzed regions are: Filename center x(pixel) center y(pixel) packing_08175 1055 415 packing_08183 945 525 packing_08209 965 525 packing_08218 825 655 packing_08229 995 685 packing_08231 595 505 packing_08277 715 435 packing_08315 585 715 packing_08337 705 565 packing_08356 555 705 packing_08366 435 595 packing_08380 595 785
