Abstract

This dataset contains soil carbon fraction data (i.e. mineral-associated organic carbon, particulate organic carbon) from long-term agricultural field studies from a global search. Studies that were included must have multiple depths where some soil fractionation occurred. The dataset includes raw mean values extracted from tables and figures of published, peer-reviewed studies, as well as corresponding meta-data and calculated effect sizes and variance.

Description of the data and file structure

This database contains data extracted from peer-reviewed articles that recorded soil organic carbon fraction responses to long-term organic amendment addition at multiple depths.

Data that are missing, not reported, or not applicable are left as blank cells.
