Abstract

The dataset contains behavioral and subjective response data collected from human psychophysical experiments evaluating a static-contact vibrotactile interface based on transdermal all-directional targeting (TADT). Data were obtained from healthy adult participants under IRB-approved protocols with informed consent.

The dataset includes trial-level records of directional recognition accuracy, response selections, and stimulus conditions for vibrotactile cues rendered along multiple spatial axes (lateral and depth-wise directions). Additional data include sensory threshold measurements acquired using a three-phase adaptive staircase procedure, as well as subjective intensity ratings collected under controlled excitation conditions.

All stimuli were delivered through vibrotactile actuators integrated with either planar or micro-textured interfaces, with parameters such as actuation voltage, frequency, phase, and texture geometry systematically varied. No personally identifiable information is included. The dataset supports quantitative analysis of tactile perception, energy efficiency, and spatial cue discrimination under static-contact conditions.
