Abstract

This dataset supports a study investigating how the microbiome-derived nucleobase queuosine (Q) influences mosquito larval physiology, metabolism, and predator avoidance behavior. It includes RNA-seq data, metabolite measurements (tyrosine, dopamine, and BH4), tRNA modification profiles, and behavioral and predation assay outputs comparing larvae with Q-producing and Q-deficient microbiomes. The data demonstrate that loss of microbiome-derived Q disrupts tyrosine metabolism and downstream processes, affecting cuticle formation, locomotion, and ecological interactions. Supplementation experiments with queuine and tyrosine are also included, showing partial or full recovery of molecular and phenotypic traits. Together, these datasets provide a comprehensive resource linking microbiome-derived nutrients to molecular regulation, organismal traits, and predator–prey dynamics in mosquito larvae.
