Abstract
Microlicia ciliatobracteata sp. nov. is a newly described species from Guarani de Goiás municipality in the northeastern Goiás state, Brazil. This study provides a detailed description of M. ciliatobracteata, an illustration plate, an occurrence map, preliminary conservation status, and a comparison with morphologically related species: M. consimilis, M. denudata, M. piauiensis, and M. versianeae. Microlicia ciliatobracteata is readily distinguished from other Microlicia species primarily by its bracts and bracteoles with setose-ciliate margins and flowers with subisomorphic stamens and polysporangiate anthers. We consider the new species Deficient Data (DD) since more knowledge on its distribution is necessary to provide an adequate conservation status.
