Abstract
The Excel file contains summarized phase-locking value (PLV) data derived from electrically evoked compound action potentials (eCAPs) recorded in three children with auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD) and eight children with sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL). Some or all of these data have been previously reported in other publications.
The related study evaluated interpeak latency (IPL) and its intertrial variability (IPLVAR) of the electrically evoked compound action potential (eCAP) as potential alternatives to the phase-locking value (PLV) for quantifying auditory nerve (AN) synchrony in cochlear implant (CI) users.

Description of the data and file structure
The Excel file contains summarized phase-locking value (PLV) data derived from electrically evoked compound action potentials (eCAPs) recorded in three children with auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD) and eight children with sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL). Some or all of these data have been previously reported in the following three publications.

Please note that the cells in line 11, columns C and D were marked as “n/a” because the averaged electrically evoked compound action potential (eCAP) across all single sweeps had an amplitude lower than the device’s noise floor. As a result, the eCAP response was considered unreliable and not suitable for further analysis.

Variables
- SubjectCode: subject number used in the associated publications. Participants with auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD) are identified by the suffix “_ANSD” in the subject code. Other participants have typical, non-ANSD sensorineural hearing loss.
- electrode: cochlear implant electrode number tested in each ear or participant.
- Phase_lockingValue: the phase locking value derived from electrophysiological measures of the electrically evoked compound action potential (eCAP) measured at each tested cochlear implant electrode location.
- ECAPAmplitude_uV: amplitude of the averaged eCAP response across all eCAP sweeps measured in microvolt.

Human subjects data
We obtained informed consent from all participants to publish de-identified data in the public domain. Before data sharing, all datasets were thoroughly de-identified in accordance with institutional and ethical guidelines. Direct personal identifiers, including names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, and any other protected health information, were removed. Indirect identifiers that could reasonably be used to identify an individual, such as exact dates of clinical visits or testing, were also removed or generalized as appropriate. As a result, the published dataset contains only research variables that cannot reasonably be linked to individual participants, thereby protecting participant privacy while allowing the data to be used for research and verification purposes.
