Abstract
The data contain capture data for small mammals, capture data for coleopterans, and camera trap data for black-backed jackals. The data relate to activity patterns of the various organisms relative to treatments associated with blue wildebeest carcass decomposition. Our analyses were based on a Before, After, Control, and Impact design. The data here cover both the immediate before and after treatments relative to carcass deployment and they relate to seasonal observations subsequent to carcass deployment.

Description of the data and file structure
Pitfall traps for coleopterans, Sherman traps for small terrestrial mammals, and camera traps for black-backed jackals. Carcasses were subject to two treatments exposed carcasses and enclosed carcasses. Additionally the treatments were compared to control sites.

Where we have indicated the value 0.01 as a value for SM_CAP - this is a placeholder as the analysis could not accommodate zero values.
