Abstract
Pdfs of the protocols and notes on specimens related to the dissertation work by Elisabeth Woelfle (Woelfle, E. 1967. “Vergleichend Morphologische Untersuchungen an Einzelknochen des Postcraniale Skelettes in Mitteleuropa Vorkommender Enten, Halbgänse und Säger.” Diss. Munich). The data from the measuring protocols have also been transcribed, with minimal editing to preserve the integrity of the original records. In addition, the result of the identification work for all Woelfle's specimens is also presented. All these data were used in an re-assessment of Woelfle's foundational analysis of duck osteometry:
Ericson, P.G.P. & Pöllath, N. 2025. Osteometry of duck species in northwestern Europe – a reassessment of Woelfle’s (1967) dataset. International Journal of Osteoarchaeology. doi:10.1002/oa.70051

Description of the data and file structure
The files contains additional data related to the reassessment of the dissertation work on duck osteology by Elisabeth Woelfle published in 1967:

Woelfle's original measuring protocols and notes on specimens examined were located in the archive of the Institut für Paläoanatomie Domestikationsforschung und Geschichte der Tiermedizin of the Tierärztliche Fakultät, Ludwig‑Maximilians‑Universität München (LMU). The scanned documents are stored in files no. 1 and 2.
The scanned measuring protocols were digitized and the data stored in a MS Excel file, file no. 3. In this file the measurements for each individual are presented in a sheet for each species. The colors used in the file are explained in the sheet named: "Color scheme"
It has been possible to identify a majority of the specimens examined by Woelfle and to check the collection label data. However, a large number of specimens could not be identified. A summary of the status of each specimen is presented in file no. 4. The colors used are explained in the file: "Color scheme etc.".
