Abstract

This dataset includes the water-year total precipitation from numerous gridded datasets for water years 2019-2024. All datasets were regridded to the 4-km latitude/longitude grid used by the Parameter-Elevation Regressions on Independent Slopes Model (PRISM) climate group. These datasets include NOAA Stage IV, NOAA Climatology-Calibrated Precipitation Analysis (CCPA), NOAA nClimGrid-Daily, and Western Land Data Assimilation System (WLDAS) for Colorado. Water-year totals from gauge observations, obtained via the Applied Climate Information System (ACIS), are also included. Other precipitation datasets were used in the study, but are not considered public domain, and are not included in this repository. Access to these datasets can be requested through the original source of the data. These datasets include: Parameter-Elevation Regressions on Independent Slopes Model (PRISM), NOAA Multi-Radar Multi-Sensor system (MRMS), NASA Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for GPM (IMERG), Multi-Source Weighted-Ensemble Precipitation (MSWEP), Climate Hazards Center Infrared Precipitation with Stations version 3 (CHIRPSv3), and ERA5-Land.
