Abstract
This dataset contains anonymized data from a cross-sectional study conducted among hospital workers at Son Llàtzer University Hospital (Mallorca, Spain). The study aimed to examine the association between rotating-shift work and sleep quality, chronotype, cardiometabolic parameters, and lifestyle factors. The dataset includes sociodemographic variables (age, sex, education level, marital status), occupational variables (job category, contract type, shift work status, years of exposure), lifestyle variables (physical activity assessed by IPAQ, adherence to the Mediterranean diet assessed by the PREDIMED questionnaire, smoking status), sleep-related variables (sleep quality assessed by PSQI, chronotype assessed by MEQ), and clinical parameters (fasting plasma glucose, lipid profile, blood pressure, body mass index, waist circumference, and cardiovascular risk). All data were collected as part of routine occupational health assessments and structured questionnaires. The dataset has been fully anonymized to ensure participant confidentiality. A codebook describing all variables and coding schemes is provided.

Description of the data and file structure
This dataset was generated as part of a cross-sectional study conducted among hospital workers at Son Llàtzer University Hospital (Mallorca, Spain). The study aimed to investigate the association between rotating-shift work and sleep quality, chronotype, cardiometabolic parameters, and lifestyle factors.
Data were collected through standardized occupational health assessments and validated questionnaires. The study population consisted of 225 normoglycemic workers from different professional categories, including healthcare and administrative staff.
The dataset includes sociodemographic, occupational, lifestyle, sleep-related, and clinical variables. Clinical measurements were obtained by trained healthcare personnel, while behavioral and sleep variables were assessed using validated instruments (IPAQ, PREDIMED, PSQI, and MEQ).
All data were anonymized prior to deposition to ensure participant confidentiality.

Missing values
Missing values are coded as NA in the dataset. No imputation was performed.
Code/software
No custom code or scripts are included in this dataset.
The data files are provided in CSV format and can be opened using standard spreadsheet or statistical software.
Semicolons are used to delimit cells. Commas are used as a decimal delimiter.
Some variable names are in Spanish. A description in English is available in the codebook.
The dataset can be analyzed using any statistical software capable of handling tabular data.
No specific software dependencies are required beyond standard data analysis tools.
Human subjects data
The study was approved by the Health Research Ethics Committee of the Balearic Islands (CEI-IB, Ref. No.: IB 5011/22 PI), and all participants provided written informed consent prior to participation.
Participants were informed that their data would be used for research purposes and could be shared in anonymized form.
The dataset has been fully de-identified prior to deposition. All direct identifiers (such as names, identification numbers, or contact information) were removed. Indirect identifiers were also minimized or generalized where necessary (e.g., no exact dates of birth or other potentially identifying information are included).
The data were processed in accordance with applicable ethical and legal standards to ensure participant confidentiality. The resulting dataset does not contain personally identifiable information and can be safely shared in the public domain.
